How the Doom Tower is laid out - floors, monthly rotation, bosses, secret rooms, keys and what each part pays - and what Hard mode changes.

In short
  • The Doom Tower is a ladder of 120 floors in two difficulties, Normal and Hard. Every tenth floor is a boss, and each difficulty also has 12 optional secret rooms.
  • You enter new floors with Golden Keys; boss floors and secret rooms use Silver Keys. You cannot buy keys, so spend them well.
  • The tower resets about once a month and rotates which bosses appear.
  • Rewards: Forge materials for eight gear sets, one-time rewards for clearing floors, and fragments of six champions you cannot summon.
  • Hard mode is much tougher and is not a place to farm early.

The floors

Each difficulty has 132 stages: 108 ordinary floors, 12 boss floors (every tenth floor) and 12 secret rooms. An ordinary floor is three waves of enemies. You must clear a floor before the next one opens, but you can swap your team between fights, so a team built for the floor in front of you beats one built for the whole tower.

Normal and Hard are separate ladders, each with its own progress. Clearing a floor for the first time pays a one-time gear reward that you cannot farm again until the tower resets.

The monthly reset and rotation

The tower resets about every 30 days. The reset clears your progress and the rankings, and it changes which bosses appear. Guides list three rotations of four bosses each. The secret rooms' entry rules change with the rotation too, so something you could not do this month may suit you the next.

Note Sources disagree on some details of the rotation (how many bosses there are and exactly which pair with which reward). Treat the boss screen in the game as the truth. Checked October 2026.

Keys

KeyUsed for
Golden KeyEntering an ordinary floor for the first time
Silver KeyBoss floors, including repeat runs of a boss you have beaten, and secret rooms
  • A key is only spent if you win. A failed attempt costs nothing, so you can learn a floor safely.
  • Keys cannot be bought. Reports say each kind is limited to 10 and refills at 00:00 UTC every day.
  • Silver Keys are the scarce ones. A common rule is to spend them on the highest boss floor you can clear quickly and reliably, ideally on Auto.

The bosses

Each boss drops materials for one gear set, made at the Forge. Below are community reports of what each does; boss kits change now and then, so read the skills in the game before you go in.

The Forge sets: Fatal and Fortitude are stat sets. Untouchable gives a [Block Debuffs] every round, Bloodthirst heals from damage dealt, Lethal ignores part of the target's DEF and Affinitybreaker turns weak hits into critical hits. Frostbite protects against Freeze, and Guardian lets the wearer take part of the damage aimed at allies.

Secret rooms

Every difficulty has 12 secret rooms, and they are optional. Each one has an entry rule that limits your team: only champions of a certain rarity, from one faction, or of some other kind. The rules change with the rotation.

Tip Start with the rooms whose rules your roster already fits. If a room demands champions you do not have, skip it; its rule changes with the next rotation anyway.

Hard mode

Hard uses the same layout with much stronger enemies and bosses. Its secret rooms give the Legendary fragments above. The enemies are at much higher levels than on Normal, which is why an account that coasts through Normal can stall within a few floors of Hard.

Careful Hard is a large jump. If the top of Normal is still a struggle, spend the month on gear and masteries first.

How to approach it

  1. Climb Normal with your normal team. Ordinary floors cost a Golden Key only on success, and the one-time rewards help your gear.
  2. Check the next boss before you reach it. Use the table above, and see building your first team for the effects to look for.
  3. Do the secret rooms your roster fits. They return Silver Keys and fragments.
  4. Farm the boss that drops the set you need. Spend Silver Keys on that boss's best floor you clear on Auto.
