On this page
- A clan opens the three clan bosses (Clan Boss, Hydra, Chimera), a shop, shared chests and the Siege. Join an active one early.
- Siege is a clan-against-clan mode. Your clan needs at least one member at level 45 to open it.
- Each clan has a fortress: one Stronghold, two Mana Shrines, four Magic Towers, five Defense Towers and eighteen Posts. Members place defence teams in them and attack the enemy's.
- Two currencies run it: Florins repair and upgrade buildings, and Mana Orbs power bonuses and conditions.
- Siege rewards include a gear set (Feral) and accessories you cannot get elsewhere.
What a clan gives you
| Activity | How often | Guide |
|---|---|---|
| Clan Boss (Demon Lord) | Daily, keys refill during the day | Clan Boss |
| Hydra | Weekly, about three keys | Hydra |
| Chimera | Weekly, two keys | Chimera |
| Siege | In cycles, with a preparation stage before each battle | This page |
| Clan Shop | Any time | This page |
The clan bosses give gear: the Cruel and Immortal sets come from Clan Boss rewards, and Protection and Stone Skin come from Hydra chests. Chimera chests also pay Clan Gold and Clan XP.
Choosing and keeping a clan
- Pick an active one. Look for a clan where members visibly take their daily boss attacks. A clan's rewards depend on its members showing up.
- Rewards come from one clan. If you change clans, there is a short lockout from the clan bosses (reported as six hours) and you claim each reward only from one clan. Do not move in the middle of a Hydra week.
- Check the clan's time zone. Resets are at fixed times, and a clan whose reset suits you gives you more of your own day.
The Clan Shop
The Clan Shop sells things for clan currency. One thing it sells that you cannot buy anywhere else is the accessory Revenge, which gives a chance to counterattack when hit. Check the shop's list in your game because stock changes.
How Siege works
A Siege is a contest between two clans. Each clan has a fortress, defends it with the teams its members place, and attacks the other clan's fortress with the members' fighting teams. A Siege goes through three stages: preparation, matchmaking and the battle. The preparation stage is where you repair and upgrade buildings and get your defence ready; a source puts it at 12 days after the previous Siege.
The clan needs at least one member at account level 45 to open the mode. Siege is in the Game Modes menu.
The fortress
| Building | How many | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Stronghold | 1 | Holds the most defence teams. Capturing it is a way to win the Siege. The other buildings cannot be a higher level than it. |
| Mana Shrine | 2 | Capturing or defending one earns Mana Orbs for every member. After a shrine is captured, each member can fight its defenders once more for Mana Orbs. |
| Magic Tower | 4 | Gives bonuses to its own garrison and to the buildings joined to it by magic paths. |
| Defense Tower | 5 | Gives bonuses to the teams inside it only. |
| Post | 18 | Holds one defence team. Cannot be upgraded or destroyed. |
Florins and Mana Orbs
- Florins
- Spent to upgrade and repair buildings. Any member can give Florins to a building, and you earn them from Siege actions.
- Mana Orbs
- Spent to switch on bonuses and conditions. You can keep yours or give them to a shared cache that the Clan Leader and Deputies manage. Shrines are their main source.
A building's bonus switches off if all its defenders are beaten during the battle, and repairing it with Florins restores it for the next Siege. Only the Clan Leader or a Deputy can switch on the Stronghold, Magic Tower and Defense Tower bonuses. Each Post offers three random conditions, and whoever puts a defence team there can use Mana Orbs to pick one.
What you do as a member
- Put in Florins. Give them to a building your clan wants stronger.
- Place a defence team in a Post and pick a condition if the clan has Mana Orbs to spare.
- Attack the enemy fortress with your fighting teams, including the extra fight at a captured shrine.
- Give your spare Mana Orbs to the cache if your leader asks.
The clan earns more rewards if it captures or defends the Stronghold, and every member shares them.
Rewards you cannot get elsewhere
- The Feral set, from Siege.
- The accessories Bloodshield and Reaction, from clan-versus-clan rewards.
Siege fights use champions in a PvP way, so the advice in the Arena guide about speed and control applies here too, with this addition: your defence teams must hold while you are away.
