In short
  • Past the daily routine, the game has monthly modes (Cursed City, Grim Forest), rotating events and tournaments, and fusions that turn your roster into a new champion.
  • Cursed City (from account level 52) and Grim Forest (from level 55) rotate every month. Both give gear sets you cannot get elsewhere.
  • Tournaments are points races. They are where most fusion fragments and a lot of free resources come from, so know what is running.
  • A fusion is a time-boxed event. Fragment fusions do not expire; the traditional kind has a deadline and wastes your work if you miss it.
  • All of these change often. Open the event list in the game; this page tells you what to look for.

Cursed City

Cursed City is a monthly challenge for accounts at level 52 and above. It is a map of 101 stages, split into four districts of increasing difficulty - Cobblemarket, Deadrise, Plagueholme and Soulcross - with the Eclipse Tower above them. Its final boss is Amius the Lunar Archon.

  • Normal and Hard. Both need Cursed City keys (a daily supply) to enter stages. Hard pays better rewards, including a one-time reward chain.
  • Restrictions. Many stages limit which champions you may bring: by rarity, affinity, faction or another trait, and the restrictions change with each monthly rotation. Some stages also ask for "awakening" levels on the champions you bring.
  • Monthly reset. A rotation lasts about a month. Finishing the city, by defeating Amius, ends it, and your progress is lost for the next rotation. The restrictions change, but the map stays the same.
  • What it pays. First-time stage clears give gear chests, crafting materials for Mythical gear and summoning materials. The gear sets Supersonic and Merciless come from here.
Tip Cursed City is a place where unusual champions earn their place, because the restrictions change who is useful. Keep a spread of rarities and factions instead of feeding all the spares. See building your first team.

Grim Forest

Grim Forest is a newer endgame mode, added in late 2025 and unlocked at account level 55. It is a map you explore: you begin at the Old Camp and move out through five themed regions that hold battles, secrets and roaming bosses. The map is reshaped by each monthly rotation. It comes in Normal and Hard, and each has its own map.

  • Daily actions. How far you can explore in a day is capped by a number of actions.
  • Decks, not a fixed team. You assemble a squad split into two decks: 10 champions in each on Normal and 20 in each on Hard. When you enter a stage, champions are drawn at random from both decks and you choose your team from that hand. You can redraw a limited number of times a day.
  • What it pays. The gear set Mercurial is sourced here.

Because the team comes from a draw, depth matters more than a single perfect team: a forty-champion squad on Hard needs many champions with a job.

Note Grim Forest is new and the sources we found describe its launch. The unlock level, rewards and shop were not confirmed by two sources, so read the mode's screens. Checked October 2026.

Event dungeons

From time to time the game adds an event dungeon with a limited run. It offers gear sets that are not in the regular dungeons: the Pinpoint and Chronophage sets are sourced there. Their windows are short, so when one appears, check its sets and decide quickly whether you need them. For the permanent dungeons, see the dungeons guide.

Tournaments and events

Tournaments and events are contests of points. You earn points by doing something the game would let you do anyway, and you receive rewards at set point totals. Common kinds:

KindHow you earn points
Champion TrainingLevelling and ranking up champions
Artifact EnhancementUpgrading gear (before selling or discarding it)
Dungeon tournaments and Dungeon DiversGear dropped in dungeons
Summon RushSummoning champions from shards
Classic Arena eventsMedals earned in the Arena
  • Most have reward tiers: a few early tiers are easy and the last ones are expensive. Reach the cheap tiers every time.
  • Prepare before the start. Save the resource the next event rewards (shards, fodder, energy) rather than spending it on a quiet day.
  • Events and tournaments are also where a lot of fusion fragments come from (see below), and the Relentless set is a reward from arena tournaments.
Careful Do not spend a rare resource - Ancient or Void shards, a big stock of fodder - in the middle of a normal day. Check the calendar first. See the daily and weekly checklist and summoning.

Fusions

A fusion is a time-boxed event in which a new champion, usually a Legendary, can be created. There are three kinds:

Traditional
You level and rank up a list of lower-rarity champions (Rares, then Epics) and then sacrifice them into the final champion. It has a deadline; if you miss it, the work is wasted.
Fragment
You collect fragments from a calendar of tournaments and events until you have enough (often about one hundred). It needs no sacrifices and does not expire.
Hybrid
You collect fragments to summon the Epics, then level and rank them up for the final fusion.

The important habit is to look at the fusion calendar the day an event is announced. It shows how many fragments each tournament gives and when each is open, so you can plan the weeks in between. Fragment fusions are the cheapest kind in resources, and some old fusions come back or become permanent.

Careful For a traditional fusion, do not rank up the Rares and Epics until you know the deadline fits. Wasted ranking is the main way a fusion goes wrong.
Note Fragment counts and calendars differ for every fusion and have been described differently by different sites. Read the fusion screen and the calendar in the game. Checked October 2026.
