Where your champion's stats come from

Every source that feeds a champion's stats - base, gear, sets, masteries, Great Hall, arena rank, guardians, empowerment, blessing, relic, leader aura - how they add up, and a worked example.

In short
  • A champion's final stat is its base stat, multiplied by 1 plus all percentage bonuses added together, plus all flat bonuses.
  • Eleven places feed it: gear, set bonuses, masteries, Great Hall, arena rank, Faction Guardians, empowerment, blessing, relic, the leader's aura, and (only in battle) Area bonuses.
  • Percentages from different places never multiply each other. The tenth +10% is worth exactly as much as the first.
  • Only HP, ATK and DEF scale with level; the other five stats start flat, and C.RATE and C.DMG are percentage points.
  • Below is a full worked example so you can check your own numbers.

The rule

Final stat = base × (1 + sum of all % bonuses) + sum of all flat bonuses

The base is what the champion has from its star rank, level and ascension (HP, ATK and DEF grow with level; see every stat explained). Every other source then adds either a percentage of that base, or a flat number. Because the percentages share one pool, a bonus never gets bigger because you stacked other bonuses.

The game's Total Stats panel shows the same split, source by source. If a number on your sheet looks wrong, that panel tells you which source is responsible.

Every source

SourceWhat it givesWhere it comes from
BaseHP, ATK, DEF from star rank and level; SPD, RES, ACC, C.RATE, C.DMG are flat and do not growThe champion itself; ascension raises it a little. Champion progression
GearThe main stat and substats of the nine pieces, both flat and % (C.RATE and C.DMG always in points), plus glyphs and ascension bonusesGear basics, accessories, glyphs and ascension
Set bonusesThe stat part of gear sets you complete (Life, Offense, Speed, Accuracy, Resistance...). Mostly % of baseWearing 2, 4 or 9 matching pieces. Gear sets
MasteriesTwelve of them are plain stats (e.g. +50 ACC, +3,000 HP). Lore of Steel raises basic set bonuses by 15%Masteries

EmpowermentUp to +40% HP/ATK/DEF and flat RES, ACC, SPD, C.RATE, C.DMG (Epic and up)Duplicates. Champion progression

RelicThe relic's stat lines (one, two or three, by relic level)Relics
Leader auraA % of base to the team, only where its text says (for example SPD in the Arena or in the Clan Boss)The champion in the first slot
Area bonusesA battle-only bonus for the area you fight in; not shown on the normal sheetObservatory; see Great Hall

Arena rank bonus

The bonus applies to HP, ATK and DEF only, and grows by division within each league.

LeagueBonus to HP, ATK, DEF
Bronze (4 divisions)1%, 2%, 3%, 4%
Silver (4 divisions)6%, 8%, 10%, 12%
Gold (5 divisions)14%, 16%, 18%, 20%, 22%
Platinum25%
Note From the in-game values as we checked them; the highest division of each league has the highest number. Arena leagues beyond Platinum, if added later, are not covered. Checked 2026-10-15.

Two details people miss

  • Lore of Steel is multiplicative on set bonuses only. A 15% HP set bonus becomes 17.25% and a 12% Speed set becomes 13.8%. It does nothing for the other sources and does not apply to every set (the stat part of "basic" sets only).
  • Crit stats are points. Every source adds C.RATE and C.DMG as points, never as a percentage of the base. A mastery that says "C.DMG +10%" adds 10 points.

A worked example

An invented Legendary Void champion, to show the arithmetic. Its base (stars, level and ascension already included) is HP 20,000, ATK 1,200, DEF 1,000, SPD 100, RES 30, ACC 0, C.RATE 15, C.DMG 50. It is in the Gold 2 division of the Arena (+16%), has a Void Great Hall at level 6 in HP/ATK/DEF/RES/ACC/C.DMG, three filled Legendary guardian slots for its faction, empowerment 2, a blessing at awakening level 4, Lore of Steel with a Life set and a Speed set, and a leader giving +19% SPD.

SourceHPATKDEFSPDRESACCC.RATEC.DMG
Gear+25%, +5,000+60%, +300+30%, +200+60+40+150+60+50
Set bonuses with Lore of Steel+17.25%+13.8%
Masteries+3,000+50+5+30
Great Hall+10%+10%+10%+40+40+12
Arena rank+16%+16%+16%
Faction Guardians+10%+10%+30+30
Empowerment 2+20%+20%+20%+10+25+25
Blessing 4+8,500+750+600+38
Leader aura+19%
Total %+98.25%+116%+76%+32.8%
Total flat+16,500+1,050+800+70+135+295+65+130

Now apply the rule to each stat:

  • HP: 20,000 × (1 + 0.9825) + 16,500 = 56,150
  • ATK: 1,200 × (1 + 1.16) + 1,050 = 3,642
  • DEF: 1,000 × (1 + 0.76) + 800 = 2,560
  • SPD: 100 × (1 + 0.328) + 70 = 202.8
  • RES: 30 + 135 = 165   ACC: 0 + 295 = 295
  • C.RATE: 15 + 65 = 80   C.DMG: 50 + 130 = 180
Careful A common mistake is to multiply: +98.25% HP from the sources above and another +19% from an aura are not 1.9825 × 1.19. They add, as above. If you got a total that is much higher than the game shows, you probably multiplied somewhere.

Note how the flat blessing dominates this champion's HP gain: 8,500 is more than the Great Hall and the Arena rank give together (26% of 20,000, or 5,200). That is typical: flat sources matter more for a low-base champion, and percentage sources matter more for a high-base one.

Using this to check your own

  1. Open a champion's stat panel in the game and find the breakdown by source.
  2. Check the cheap ones first. The Great Hall, Arena rank and Faction Guardians are the same for every champion of an affinity, rarity or faction, so one wrong number there affects the whole roster.
  3. Look at what is missing. A champion with a long way to go on one stat usually has an empty row: no relic, no blessing, no guardians for its faction.
Note In battle, the Area bonus (and the leader's aura, where it applies) is added on top of the panel, so a champion's stats in a fight can be higher than on its sheet. If you compare a fight against your sheet, add them first.
